In the first crop report for 2014, the AOF is forecasting another strong year for canola.
In the first crop report for 2014, the AOF is forecasting another strong year for canola, with an estimated two and a half million hectares planted to the crop. If this estimate is correct, it will be the second largest areas planted on record in Australia.
With the likelihood of an El Nino event present for spring, the AOF is cautious with yield estimates, with total tonnage harvested estimated at close to 3.9 million tonnes.
