In some situations, where the seed is not accepted because it falls outside the AOF Standards the stockfeed industry may be a suitable market. The Stockfeed Manufacturing Council of Australia advise that for the sale of canola seed with a higher level of sprouting, there would need to be an alternate specification. Most likely, this is best left to negotiation between seller and buyer based upon sample description (test weight and sprouting). In most cases,  buyers would also want to see a sample to assess weather damage before making any commitment? The major concern will be potential mould and mycotoxin presence.

All the major feed manufacturers are listed on the SFMCA website www.sfmca.com.au under Accredited Feed Suppliers. In NSW Baiada is listed under Tangaratta Stockfeeds.
